…More on this to come…
No TagsToday was our second Sunday at Church at the Well. We had a great day. Last week went okay. It was the whole “figuring everything out” week. This week I think the band felt more comfortable with me and vice versa. Everything flowed a lot better.
The new schedule makes for pretty packed weekends. Saturday nights I lead worship at Victory @ Sarasota, which is about an hour from here. Their service starts at 7:30pm and Kristin and I don’t usually get back to Lakeland until around 11pm. Then we’re up at 5:40am to be at The Well (also an hour drive) by 7:30am for set-up and sound check. We have been handling it well. We really enjoy leading at both places. Next week will be even more jammed, because I’m leading worship at a weekend conference in Sarasota Friday and Saturday night.
Not a whole lot of “blogworthy” topics lately. I have been extremely busy with work and school. Three weeks left in this semester. I am taking a break for a couple of weeks before I start second session summer school. I can’t wait to graduate this fall…
Here are some pictures from tear down this morning.

LIFE LESSON: Apparently Peter Candytail can’t even survive the drive home in the unbearable Florida heat.
No TagsKristin and I recently returned from a trip to Gatlinburg with some friends and family. We had a great time.
As a child I had a fascination with throwing eggs over the balcony at my Grandparents’ mountain home in Hayesville, NC. I guess I thought I would grow out of this tradition at some point, but I was proven wrong this weekend as me and the guys spent a good amount of time throwing eggs and produce off of our balcony. I am sure the management didn’t mind as it seems the guests before us had thrown over an entire rocking chair in what was no doubt an “impaired” decision if you know what I mean (Alcohol).
Below are some pictures from our trip. I know this post is long long-awaited so I hope you enjoy it. To all of you “everyday readers” of jordanrippy.com I apologize for the lack of blogging lately. I know many of you probably thought that I had died, or worse, lost my internet. Let not your heart be troubled. I am back.

*** OH YEAH, there was also this fearless raccoon who, despite the lack of opposable thumbs, managed to break into our garbage container each night.
