07. Typical Situation
This is one of the few 1991 recordings of the band in circulation. This is just Dave, Carter, Stefan and Leroi – before Boyd and before Peter.
Andy Svenson discovered this track as filler on a tape he had
and quickly realized it is a different recording of the other
known You Won’t See Me. This is also the only known recording
of a song performed by the 4-man DMB band, pre-Peter and pre-Boyd.
The date is an estimate, but we know it is before August, 1991
(when Peter joined full time). Other recordings we have from this
time all have Boyd or eventually have Boyd joining the show. Since
this song clearly ends the show, we can presume he was not there.

Note: The Cry Freedom often circulated with this disc is actually from an early Dave solo demo so I’ve removed it from here.

This was a private show Dave performed for a BatMitvah. I don’t know where this came from, but I assume possibly the family or someone affiliated with the event decided to make it available.

This is Dave’s solo performance of “The Stone” from The Charlie Rose Show. It’s a great version with the “Can’t Help Falling in Love” outtro.
This is Dave Matthews’ solo performance for Pete Seeger’s 90th birthday.
This is the webcast recording of the 06/01/2009 Fuse concert to kick off the heavy promotion for Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King. There is also a TV audio capture, but this webcast is typically preferred due to the lack of edits which are present in the TV version.
