DMB: 10/22/1991 (Trax Nightclub)

This is one of the very earliest full-band shows in circulation and is an invaluable window into the earliest days of the group. The sound quality isn’t the greatest, but it’s amazing to hear the band at this stage of their career.

DMB: 05/10/1995 (Yoshi’s) (FM)

This is the famous Yoshi’s full-band acoustic radio show. Dave was a bit under the weather that day, but the performances were great nonetheless. This show contains “THE” #40. If you hear someone talking about a “definitive” version of #40, this is it. On the “Road To Big Whiskey” documentary, Dave comments about how people always tell him to sing #40 a particular way, but that he makes the lyrics up on the spot and he has no idea what the lyrics were/are, this is the one people are talking about.

Anyways, this is a fantastic show that I cannot recommend highly enough.

Many thanks to the original taper!

Enjoy.

Dave Matthews Band 06/03/2009 – Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (TV/Web)

This is the band’s recording of Funny The Way It Is and Why I Am on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon from 6/3/2009.

Notes: This was recorded from an AVI file I found online after I discovered no one had made a recording of this audio available. The audio bitrate of the .avi was 128kbps. Still, it’s definitely listenable and let’s you hear their first publicity performance of the Big Whiskey songs.

Enjoy.
